Product Introduction
The Special Head Screw Spike is a type of railway fastener designed to securely attach rails to sleepers. It features a square or rectangular head and a high-threaded shank, ensuring a stable connection between the rail and the sleeper. Compared to conventional spikes or ordinary screw spikes, the Special Head Screw Spike offers superior holding power and resistance to loosening, making it suitable for high-strength railway lines and high-frequency train operations.
The screw spike measures Tr22×149mm and is available in material grades 4.6 or 5.6, complying with UIC864-2 standards. Surface treatments include plain, hot-dip galvanized, and zinc-plated finishes, providing excellent corrosion resistance and extending service life.
What's difference between screw spike and dog spike?
As we all know, there are two common types of railroad spikes: dog spike and screw spike. What's difference between dog spike and screw spike?
- Speak to the holding power, the screw spike provides more than twice than dog spikes.
- Compared to the dog spike, the screw spike requires higher production cost.
- A screw spike is used together with a spring washer, but dog spike doesn't.
