what is a Double Head Screw Spike?

What size are normal track spikes?
Normal rail spikes are typically between 5.5 to 6 inches (140 to 150 mm) long and 9/16 to 10/16 inch (14 to 16 mm) square, with common sizes being 9/16" x 5.5" and 5/8" x 6". The standard length for oak ties is around 5 inches, and the head is often oblong to match the slope of the rail's top side.

9/16" x 5.5": A very common size for smaller rail sections.
5/8" x 6": The most common size, especially in North America, for larger rail sections.
Other sizes: A variety of other sizes are manufactured, including 3/8" x 3-1/2" and 1/2" x 3-1/2", with custom options also available.
