Product Introduction
A screw spike, rail screw (or lag bolt) is a large (~6 in or 152 mm length, slightly under 1 in or 25 mm) metal screw used to fix a tie plate or fasten rail. Screw spikes are fixed into a hole bored in the sleeper. The railway screw spike has a higher cost to manufacture than the rail spike but has the advantage of greater fixing power; approximately twice that of a rail spike, and can be used in combination with spring washers.

Three different production process of spike
The most common rail spike is made of Q235 steel(China Steel Standard).The production process of the road spike is generally divided into machinery manufacturing, hand-made manufacturing and machinery & hand-made manufacturing combined.

Common Spike
Common spike, also called hook spike or dog spike, mainly used to connect the steel rail or rail plate with the rail sleeper. The cross section of each side is 16mm, and length is 165mm. The surface of the rod should be smooth and bright, flying edge shall not be more than 2mm. There shall be no crack in the joint of the head and the rod. The cutting edge shall not have burr and folding.
