38Si7 Plain Coating SB Rail Clip

SB Type Rail Clip is for rail fastening system SB W3-type. We produce and supply various elastic rail clips, spring blade and SKL tension clamp.

The SB-type rail clip is typically manufactured from 38Si7 high-strength silicon–manganese alloy spring steel, in full compliance with UNI 3545 and GB/T 1222 standards. This material provides excellent elastic limit and toughness, ensuring superior performance under repeated stress conditions. After quenching and tempering heat treatment, the clip achieves a hardness of HRC 42–46 and a fatigue life exceeding 5 million cycles, allowing it to withstand long-term cyclic loading without plastic deformation. The clamping force of the SB rail clip ranges from 10.7–10.9 kN, providing a secure hold on the rail to effectively prevent both lateral and longitudinal movement.

Its surface is treated with a Plain Coating, which forms a thin anti-oxidation protective film capable of resisting moisture, dust, and mild corrosive environments. This treatment also preserves the clip's original elasticity and strength while ensuring ease of maintenance and replacement. Depending on the design specification, SB rail clips are available in diameters ranging from 12 mm to 20 mm, with a toe load range of 200–1400 kgf, making them suitable for a wide variety of rail profiles and track gauge installations.
